Brevard - Wanda Galloway McCall, 70, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 peacefully at home after a long struggle with dementia.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Katie Kilpatrick Galloway.

Survivors include her husband William of 41 years; son, Todd Young of Edneyville; daughter, Annette Moore and husband Tommy of Fairview; daughter, Tanya Melton and husband, Shawn of Brevard; daughter, Rachel Simmons and husband, Jimmy of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Vanessa Wilmoth (Justin), Kirsten Dean (Jeremy), Megan Young, Will Patton, Katie Moore, Grayson Melton, and Gabby Melton; and great grandchildren, Lexie Dean and Peyton Wilmoth.

Wanda was a fun-loving wife, mom and grandma who loved to shop and travel. She loved spending time on the beach searching for seashells and reading while William fished. Wanda loved spending time with her family and was proud of her children and grandchildren, but she never let you forget that the "Wanda look" was never too far away if you needed an adjustment.

Services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
