William O. "Bill" Mckinney, 79, of Lake Toxaway, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock, N.C. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Allen Lee and Vergie Owen McKinney. Bill was retired from E. I. Dupont after 34 years. He was a charter member of the Lake Toxaway Fire Department and served as treasurer for several years. H enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends and was a big NASCAR fan. Bill is survived by his wife, Marsha and five daughters. Karen Powell of Rosman, Donna and David Sudano of Beaumont, Texas, Carla Fisher of Rosman, Tammy and Sonny Warren of Lake Toxaway and Tricia Hoxit of Brevard. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly and spoke of proudly. The family would like to extend a special thanks to good friend Clifford Coggins for being there for Bill and his family. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Owen and Rev. Harold Sitton officiating.
