William B. Thompson, 80

William B. Thompson, 80, originally of Lisbon, Ohio, and most recently a resident of Brevard, North Carolina, passed away on December 25, 2025, following a brief illness.

Born to the late William and Mary Grace Thompson, Bill lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he continued his commitment to community through a long career with the United States Postal Service, where he was known for his reliability, hard work, and kind nature.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice “Claudia” Thompson, in 2016; his sister, Ellen Westlake; and his brother in law, David Westlake.

He is survived by his son, Aaron (Krista) Thompson of Portage Lakes, Ohio; his daughter, Allyssa (Jason) Entrikin of Lisbon, Ohio; and his stepdaughters, Tracy Williams and Kristen Brewer of Hendersonville, North Carolina. He also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren; his sisters, Lejeanne Thompson of Marietta, Georgia, and Patricia (Jeff) Richetto; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

Cremation has taken place, and private services will be held.

Bill will be remembered for his gentle spirit, sense of duty, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
