William Dewey Giles, age 67 of Rosman passed away at his residence Saturday February 26, 2011 after a period of declining health. He was born February 24,1944 in Athens Georgia to the late Dewey A. Giles and Frances Brown Giles, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Giles. During his early years Mr. Giles helped his family as a share cropper and was employed in several manufacturing Mills until he decided to become a house painter. Survivors include his Wife Betty Anders Giles of the home, one son William David Giles two daughters; Donna O'Connell and her husband Pete and Candice Giles, two brothers; Roy Giles and James Giles, two sisters; Francene Giles and Darlene Giles. Two step children Mike Krauter and his wife Kitty and Tina London and her husband John, granddaughter Megan O'Connell, grandson Matthew O'Connell and special grandchild Jessica Krauter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 1, 2011 at 2:00pm at Cherryfield Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Keith Thielke. Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens.
