Brevard – William Rector Hall, 91, died on Saturday, February 11, 2017. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Oscar Hall and Dovie Riddle Hall Warren and was the husband of the late Opalee Chapman Hall. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lt. Col. Roger Hall. Mr. Hall was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. Survivors include his Children, William R. Hall, Jr. and wife, Ruby of Greenville, SC, Janie McGrady and husband Andy of Alabama, Rita Whitlock and husband Jim of Summerville, SC, Ron Hall and wife Tammy of Pisgah Forest, Kim Lipp and husband Chris of Woodruff, SC, Joe Hall and wife Cheryl of Easley, SC; daughter-in-law, Fumiko Hall of Fairfax, Va; sister, Evelyn McCormick of Arden; brother, Ed Warren and wife Shirley of GA; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Military rites will be conducted by the Transylvania County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Care Partners/TRH Hospice.
