William Trent Hodges August 19, 1966 - June 14, 2014 The Lord called William Trent Hodges home to join his precious daughter, Jordan Hodges, on Saturday, June 14, 2014, in Bristol, Virginia. Trent was born August 19, 1966 in Waynesville, NC. He was a graduate of West Henderson High School in Mills River, NC. Trent was a Brother Mason. He was also a member and deacon of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Mills River, NC. He was a Navy veteran and served on the nuclear submarine USS LaLolla out of San Diego, California. Unfortunately, health problems brought about an early honorable discharge. Trent was employed at Wilson Art for 20 years. He loved his work and had many friends. Trent was preceded in death by his father William Donald Hodges. He is survived by his mother, Mary Morgan, of Brevard, NC. He is also survived by a daughter, Sydney Hodges of Mills River; a brother, Tony Staton, (Jamie) of Mills River; a sister, Monica Duffield, (James) of Greenville, SC; a niece, Haley Staton and nephew, Sam Staton, of Mills River; and nephews, Hunter Tinsley and Holden Duffield of Greenville, SC. Trent is also survived by his soul-mate, Sandra Passmore, and her daughter, Bailey, of Mills River, NC. Trent was blessed with a loving family and many friends. He will be sorely missed. Our lives will not be the same without him. In celebration of Trent's life, a service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Hodges Knoll Road in Mills River, NC.
