William Stewart Holmes Jr., age 76, of Brevard, formerly of Ft. Worth Texas and Indianapolis Ind. died, Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at The Oaks of Brevard. He was born November 25, 1932 in Winkler County Texas to the late William S. Holmes Sr. and Sallie Jane Hukill Holmes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Lillian Mae Henninger Holmes. and a son Steven Wesley Holmes. Mr. Holmes was a retired computer programmer and of the Methodist faith. Survivors include one son; Bryan Lee Holmes and his wife Shirley of Indianapolis Ind. One daughter Mrs. Judith Ann Johnson and her husband John R. Johnson Jr. of Lake Toxaway; his second wife Vera Lucille Abel Holmes of Indianapolis Ind., three grandchildren Jeremiah Johnson, Susan Johnson both of Brevard and Sean Wesley Holmes of Indianapolis Ind. four great grandchildren Christopher Johnson, Erin Johnson and Gaven Johnson all of Brevard and Cali Holmes of Indianapolis Ind. Family and friends gathered Wednesday September 9, 2009 from 7-900pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Interment will be at South Hill Cemetery in Vandalia Illinois .
