Rev. William Daniel "Dan" McCall, 88 of Balsam Grove passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 8th.

He was the son of the late Ingomar & Beulah Chastain McCall. He was married for 67 years to Clara Louise McCall who followed him in death a few minutes later.

He is survived by his daughter, Melodie Lee, daughter-in-law, Melaney Owen McCall of Balsam Grove, granddaughters,  Audria Lance & husband Blake of Silversteen, Erica McCall of Balsam Grove, great granddaughters, Riley Aiken & Fayelee Lance, sister, Doris Owen of Balsam Grove, 3 nieces, 5 nephews & extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brian McCall, son-in-law, Bill Lee, brother-in-laws Cleamon Owen, T.R. Chastain, Rev. Carmel Hall, Rev. Charles Perry & Roy Aiken,  sister-in-laws, Opal Chastain, Ola Hall, Willow Mae Perry & Della Aiken.

He served his country in the Army Reserves. He served his Lord by pastoring Woods Memorial Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school classes, being choir director & singing as a family group with his wife and daughter. He never missed a chance to tell people about Jesus. He always wore his hat when he went anywhere that read, " Jesus Is So Precious ".

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1pm at Woods Memorial Baptist Church in Balsam Grove. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Rev. Benson Galloway & Rev. Roger Massey presiding. Burial will be at Shoal Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Rev Davis Owen presiding.
