William Tritt, 91, of Balsam Grove passed away February 27, 2013. He was born July 13, 1921 in Transylvania to the late Robert Lafayette Tritt and Dora Jane Smith Tritt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Henry Tritt, James Tritt and John Tritt; three sisters; Dora Mae Brown, Jessie Faye Woods and Mary Ellen Woody; daughter Freda Jane Tritt and great-grand-daughter Emelia Tritt. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Mr. Tritt retired from Ecusta after 43 years of service. Survivors include his wife Marjorie Owen Tritt, sons Charles W. Tritt and wife Shirley of Pisgah Forest, Larry D. Tritt and wife Gayleen of Brevard; daughters Linda T. Gibson and husband Michael of Wingate, NC, Gail T. Norris and husband Randy of Brevard, and Julie T. Park and husband Karl of Lincolnton; grandchildren Anita Taylor, Randy Tritt, Sabrina Tritt, Kelly Prim, Joshua Park and Amanda Brace; seven great-grandchildren, brother Edward Tritt of Pisgah Forest and sister Frances Reece of Pisgah Forest. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday March 2, 2013 at Blantyre Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memories.
