Willie Mae Nicholson, 82, of Pickens, SC and formerly of Brevard, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Devore. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Eugene Nicholson. Survivors include her daughter Betty Jean Searcy and husband Charles of Pickens, SC, brothers Steve Devore and J.B. Devore of Brevard and Jimmy Devore of Concord, NC; sister Laverne brown of Brevard; granddaughter Rebecca Searcy and great-grandchildren Steven and C.J. Dunn. Funeral services for Mrs. Nicholson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Nicholson and Rev. Don Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery.
