Wilma Owen Grant, age 81, of died Monday April 5, 2010. She was born August, 14 1928 in Jackson County to the late Pearson and Amanda Queen Owen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her spouse James W. Grant, one brother Roland Owen and two sisters Sallie McCall and Billie Gravely. Mrs. Grant was retired from Olin and a homemaker. Survivors include one son; Michael Grant and his wife Pam of Romeoville Ill, one daughter; Ms. Judi Clark of Greenville SC, one brother Arvol Owen and his wife Berdine of Whitter NC, one sister Mrs.Imogene (Bill) Osteen of Brevard seven grandchildren Mrs. Jana (Wim) Smith of Greenville, Mrs, Jennifer (Joey) Baer of Fort Stuart Fl, Mickey Grant and his wife Sarah of Mills River, Mrs. Holly (Matt) Orzech of Fort Drum NY, Ted Tolar of Stanford KY, Ms. Heather Grant of Romeoville Ill, and Ms. Merrett Clark of Greenville SC, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 8, 2010 at 11:00am at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Ron Nelson. Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00pm until 8:30pm at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice, 1266 Asheville Hwy, Brevard NC 28712
