Brevard - Reverend Woodrow Marshall Smith 78, born in McColl SC, died on January 5, 2016 at his home in College Walk Senior Community Brevard, NC.

Reverend Smith retired in 2001 from the S.C. United Methodist Conference after 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Marsha Beth Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Bedenbaugh Smith and four daughters: Alana Arant (Frank Arant) of Rock Hill, SC, Barbara Immerso of Columbia, SC, Rene'e Pulliam-Smith (Michele) Pulliam-Smith of Georgia, Lisa Smith Folckomer (Paul Folckomer) of Brevard, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Transylvania Hospice for their wonderful services and support.

A private memorial service for Reverend Smith will be held at a later date.
