Zeb David Turpin, of Pisgah Forest, N.C., passed away June 10, 2023, at his home following a period of declining health. He was 87 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Allie Marie Turpin (née Sentell), a son David Turpin, wife Wanda, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren; a brother James Turpin and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Alan and by his sister, Jo Medford.

Mr. Turpin was a native of Jackson County N.C., and a 1954 graduate of Sylva Webster High School. He worked 44 years as an electrician at Ecusta Paper retiring in 1998. He was a dedicated member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church serving as deacon and Sunday school teacher. Of him it can be simply said, he was a good man, husband, father, and friend who faithfully lived out his Christian beliefs.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, 2023 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
