Obituary for Lois Lorraine Berton (Webster)

Lois Lorraine Webster Berton, 80, died October 12, 2014 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Lois was born in Salina, Kansas to the late Elgin Lee and Edrie Mae Webster. She was a nurse for over forty years specializing in Obstetrics early in her career, and later in the Operating Room. She moved to Brevard thirteen years ago from Apollo Beach, Florida. She loved her family and her church. Her hobbies included scrapbooking and card making which she shared with all those she loved on every occasion. She loved traveling with her family and especially her sister, Delores. She was proud to be a member of both the Northern Cherokee Nation and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Joseph Berton. She is also survived by four sons: Nick McLane (Jann), John McLane (Sonja), Paul McLane, David Wilkins (Terri), and stepdaughters: Laura Powers and Penny Berton Litwak (Danny). Her loving family includes thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Delores Yauney and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was predeceased by her sister, Jene Radcliffe, her daughter in law, Linda McLane, and great granddaughter Kinsley Knighton.
A Resurrection Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Brian Berg Drive, Brevard, NC on Tuesday, October 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
