Leadership/friendship

Coach Frank was the person who made me feel like Brevard High School was the best fit for my family and I. I met him as part of my interview for a coaching/teaching position. He was easy to talk to, he looked you in the eye so you knew he was listening and felt that what you had to say was important. Although he wasn't assigned to be, he was a great mentor for me in my young career. Brevard was then, and will always be a football town, but Frank let me know how important it was for Brevard to have a strong basketball program too. He gave me so much advice during my tenure at BHS, and he molded a very young group of coaches into a tremendous and successful coaching staff. He was a leader by example. He didn't have to scream or use profanity to get players and coaches inspired to put forth their best effort every day. He was quick to smile, quick to laugh, quick to praise and always put the Brevard High School kids first. His leadership, friendship, and quiet and caring attitude resulted in success in football, and created excitement and support for all other athletic teams at BHS. When someone says Brevard High School to me, Coach Frank is the person I still think of first. I was so blessed to have had so many years at BHS, and so blessed to meet and work with so many excellent teachers, coaches, friends and administrators. Thank you for being the first of all those great Brevard folks...thank you for your leadership and more for your friendship. I love you Coach Frank. Though you may be gone from us, you will always be with us. Go Blue Devils!
