Fannie Mae Fisher Stamey

Lake Toxaway – Fannie Mae Fisher Stamey, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at The Oaks of Brevard.
A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Bell Aiken Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jess, Ralph, Walter, and Chester Fisher, and Jim Brown, her sister, Mary Jane Hensley, and her daughter-in-law, Ann B. Stamey.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a quilt maker and gardener.
Surviving are her husband of 72 years, Noah McKinley Stamey; sons, J. C. Stamey of Lake Toxaway and Carroll Stamey and wife Brenda of Rosman; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Moody- Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buster McCall officiating. Burial will be in Mack McCall Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
