Obituary for Lucy Mae McCall Crane
Brevard- Lucy Mae Crane, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Simon and Bell McCall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Leon Crane Sr., one son Harry “Fuzz” Leon Crane Jr., three sisters; Myrtle McCoy, Lori Brown and Grace Crane and three brothers Jess McCall, Edgar McCall and JJ McCall.
A native of Transylvania County, Lucy was a member of The Full Gospel Church. She was a devoted Christian lady who read her bible and prayed daily. She loved to listen to WGCR and loved and spoiled her grandkids.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Crane of Pisgah Forest; one daughter, Lola Mae Owen of Brevard; grandchildren, Bobby, T.C., Angie, Randy, Tony, Jeff, Kay, Odell and Jamie, 18 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday July 2, 2015 at Moody –Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Larry Wilson and Rev. Don Riddle. Interment will follow at Dunn’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
