Obituary for Beverly Jane Holder (Harned)
Beverly Jane Holder
Beverly Jane Holder (Bev), of Pisgah Forest, NC, passed away January 17, 2016 at her home.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Joe Davis Holder, her parents, Dana and Bernice Harned, her sister, Thelma Cooper, great grandson Hunter Hearn and two step daughters, Teresa Holder and Patricia Holder. She was married for twenty two years to the late Richard Dale Miller Sr. and for 34 years to Joe Davis Holder.
Beverly was born in Owego, New York to Dana and Bernice Harned on February 24, 1935. She did beautiful work as a florist in Raleigh, NC until the age of 70. She enjoyed shopping, sports on TV, her dog Daisy and spending time with her family.
Beverly is survived by her two sons Richard Dale Miller Jr (Dickie), Daniel Charles Miller (Danny): two daughters Lynn Kay Higgins and Jan Marie Miller; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at New Hill Baptist Church, New Hill, NC on January 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Aubrey Cochran of New Hill Baptist officiating. Burial will follow at New Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care for their support in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice in Hendersonville, NC.
