Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Samuel Yoder can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Bobby Knight
Condolence: My name is Bobby J. Knight of Plant City, Florida. I know my message is a little late (years later) since Mr. Yoder's passing, due to the fact that I just found out about his passing, from doing an online search. I was a student of his in mid 1987 when he was an automotive technician instructor at Schenck Job Corps, near Brevard, N.C. I learned a lot from Sam and that's why I know how to work on my own vehicles to this day. In fact, I've learned everything I know about cars from him. He was an amazing instructor and a true friend. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him. Thank you so much Mr. Yoder for your friendship and for being a great instructor. God bless you and rest in peace, sir.

Condolence: Sam Yoder, born at the foot of Grandfather Mountain, NC. Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend, Gardener, Tender of Plants & Animals & All of His Friends. Lover of Nature. Teller of Tall Tales. Mentor and Confidant. Loved life and lived it to the fullest. Sam was one of a kind. He was, without doubt, the best human being I have ever known. He meant the world to all of us who knew him, and the world won't be the same without him. He took each person as they were - never tried to change people. He was the embodiment of the words - just as you are, I love you. Sam, what will we do without you now? Rest In Peace, Dearest Friend!
