Obituary for Marion Thomas Quillen
Brevard - Marion Thomas Quillen, 88, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Josephine, seven siblings: Shirley, Clay, Lee, Jack, Frank, Robert, and Leon.
He was born in Woodruff, SC and raised in North and South Carolina. He served in the Navy during WWII. He worked as an electrician for the Federal Government while living in Cheverly, Maryland until he retired to Brevard in 1989.
Survivors include one daughter Norlina, son-in-law William and three granddaughters Hannah, Meredith, and Isabelle.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Sunday November 20, 2016 at Little River Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Farmer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Marion’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Transylvania County Hospice, 1266 Asheville Hwy #5, Brevard, NC 28712.
