Obituary for Thomas Joseph Genaw

Thomas Joseph Genaw, age 86, of Penrose North Carolina, passed away on November 22, 2017.

Thomas was born in Port Huron, Michigan on January 14, 1931. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he drove a jeep on the front lines. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard, North Carolina and was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as a Grand Knight. He was the Charles Chips distributor for many many years to both the Hendersonville and Brevard areas.

Thomas shared 66 wonderful years of marriage to the love of his life Beverly Genaw. He was a wonderful loving father to six children, Debbie Genaw of Winter Springs, Florida, Sandy O’Steen of Hendersonville, NC, Thomas Genaw of Hendersonville NC, Chris Brackett of Columbus, NC, Bryon Genaw of San Antonio, TX, and Lisa MacDougall of Concord, NH. He has 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Bryon Genaw, his parents LeRoy and Gertrude Genaw, two brothers, Roy Genaw of Minneapolis MN and Jerry Genaw of San Antonio, TX as well as a sister Mary Krupa of Holiday, Florida.

Rest well my love - the heavens will forever be a bit brighter.

The family will hold a private service.
