Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ruth Cairnes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Christmas Surprise 2016

Ruth and I first met June 2007at the marriage of my daughter, Jennifer and her nephew, Stacey.  We didn't see each other again until 2012 when we attended her husband's funeral.  Then, Christmas 2013, she came with Katherine and Clyde, her sister and brother-in-law, to share Christmas with Jennifer, Stacey, Johnny and me.

Then, a few days before Christmas last year I opened my front door and there were two boxes, one for Jennifer and one for me.  That was the beginning of mine and Ruth's telephone conversations which we enjoyed so very much these last few months. She was always cheerful, talking about her family and church family.

I will miss talking with Ruth and will always remember her as a kind, caring and giving person.
