The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Josephine Quillen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

John and Marsha Cordova

I am Marsha Cordova, married to Josie's brother John. Josie and I met 50 years ago in Wash,DC. We both had our babies around the same time She was Godmother to our son John III. I remember her for her beautiful figure and wonderful eye makeup. We had great times at the beaches in nearby Maryland and Virginia. Josie is someone who took more pictures than even me of our children! Her home was like a shrine to her beautiful daughter, Norlina, who's pictures were everywhere. She loved and adored her 3 granddaughters sending us pictures every year of their growth and keeping us informed of their activities, and don't forget the many boxes of Girl Scout cookies she sent us. Josie was the best sister-in-law any one could want. We loved her long hand written letters with clippings about her mountain community in Pisgah and her church activities. We will always treasure the book and pictures she put together on the Cordova family history. And who can forget her descriptions of her incredible journeys to central and south Americas. We miss her and love her dearly and offer condolences to Marion and remaining family and friends.
