He was the original "Most interesting man in the world". He could talk on any topic, was interested in everything from astrophysics to anemones. He had an infectious laugh and was the most spontaneous person I ever met. Who else can I call to plan a trip to Easter Island in a week? I'll miss him. I am forever grateful he was my friend.
