True To His Word
I remember the time when my sister's cat died while she was out of town. She called John and asked that he have a funeral for the cat. Not knowing any of this at the time I drove over to the house. I walked into the garage to find John standing over a dead cat. There was classical music blaring and candles lit. I thought he had lost his mind. He explained that he was having a funeral for the cat so I said a prayer with him for the cat. Mind you John and the cat never got along. But he had given his word. That was just John being John. He was such a wonderful man. He was one of God's special people. I will miss him and the times we shared.
