Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Josephine Quillen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Girlfriend

How blessed am I to have been a friend with Josie Quillen.

Anyone who knows Josie will use alot of the same adjectives...kind,thoughtful,intelligent,beautful,funny.Josie was so full of wonder, she cared about people, things, places and nature. If you had a question about anyone or anything and asked Josie...she would research and come up with an answer..and most of the time she was right ! Josie was always dependable...she was the first to volunteer, usually for the stuff nobody else wanted to do or get involved in...not Josie...give her a assignment or task and she was there. She would get it done..without wanting to take the kudo's.Josie was devoted. To her family...her wonderful and caring daughter Norlina...the apple didn't fall far from the tree !....her much adored grandkids...Hannah,Meredith and Izzy. You all brought so much joy and love to Josie's life. Josie loved and was truly devoted to her husband Marion. I am sure that she loved equally her extended family. Josie was a sit in the back or on the side type of gal....no spotlight for her. She just sort of took everything and everybody in... with those sparkling clear eyes ..it was like she could see right inside of you. She just sort of sat and waited...if you needed something..she was there. Otherwise , she would just listen. Josie was not a gossip...yet she knew so much about so many. She cared. Josie was a very private lady...she did not divulge alot... but if she held you close enough, she would let you into her heart and soul. Josie believed in God...no matter what the sign on the church said that she visited that paticular day...she believed in God.Josie was many things to many people... Josie was good. honest, and gentle.Josie had a wonderful sense of humor...sometimes it just took us awhile to "get it". Josie will be greatly missed...but Josie will always be my girlfriend.

Rest in Peace ...you definetly deserve it.
