Eunice Mae Devore Anders

Brevard- Eunice Mae Devore Anders, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Transylvania Regional Hospital.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Devore, Sr and Mae Woodring Devore and was the wife of the late Arnold Anders. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Laura Belle Cain, Ethel Anders, and Effie Hogsed, and her brothers, Carlee Devore, Wiley Devore, Jr., and John Edward Devore.

Mrs. Anders loved visiting with the residents of the Brian Center. Along with her son Larry and with help from Trish Hamilton, she conducted church services for the residents for many years. She was known by all for her beautiful hair and the hugs that she lovingly handed out to all that crossed her path. She enjoyed eating out and seeing all her friends at her favorite restaurants. She loved spreading her goodness with the baked treats she was always giving to her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Edith Anders of Brevard; sons, Larry Monroe Anders of Brevard and Charles Armond Anders and wife Araceli of Avondale, AZ; sister, Aileen Cain of Sneads, FL and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the Moody- Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 1-2PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
