Obituary for Vickie Elaine Shipman (Howard)
Brevard – Vickie Elaine Howard Shipman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 9, 2018 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, GA.
She was a devoted wife for 26 years to Fred Wilburn Shipman. Mrs. Shipman loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and spending time with the love of her life and her grandbabies.
Mrs. Shipman is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Shuler; one brother, Kenny Howard; one son, Rusty Baynard; two grandsons, C.J. Reid and Austin Rhoden.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Shipman; her father, Bobby Howard; one brother, Gary Howard; five sons, Jeff Baynard, Marty Reid, Myron Reid, Chad Reid, Wayne Shipman; one daughter, Tracy Shipman; several grandbabies, nieces and nephews.
Her and her husband were a pure example of unconditional love and partnership to all knew and love them. She will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gillesipe-Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at Stjude.org.
