Claude Vernon Tilson, age72, of Brevard, went to be with his Lord Friday, August 21, 2009 At the Oaks at Brevard. He was born January 22, 1937 in Macon County to the late Claude Jacob Tilson and Fannie Stiwinters Tilson.

Mr. Tilson retired from Ecusta and was of the baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife Gladys Devore Tilson of the home; three sons Donald Vernon Tilson, Benjamin Allen Tilson and his wife Kimberly and Michael Edward Tilson all of Brevard; three brothers Thomas Tilson of Brevard, Howard Tilson of Highlands, Ronnie and Randall Tilson both of Franklin; two sisters Mrs. Lois Houston of Highlands and Mrs. Olla Holland of Georgia

four grandchildren and one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday August 24, 2009 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Owen . Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
