Just wanted to share a small part of the art Daniel has given me over the years. He was extremely talented.

Daniel,

Thank you for leaving me with the best part of you in our beautiful son!! You have been in my life for 18 yrs now & this will be so hard for so many people! Please know that I will continue to remind Jonathan that he is the best part of you & that you loved him!! He said to me last night he was the best part of you & now it was his job to carry on your legacy & make sure the best parts of you continue on in him ♥️ He’s a wonderful boy with a sweet soul & has your gift of words!! I know you faced many internal struggles but my one hope is that your soul can finally Rest In Peace! The only comfort I find is knowing your not suffering any more, no more battles or struggles, no more feeling unworthy!! You’ve had some many friends reach out to me about how much you meant to them!! You had more purpose on this earth than I think you ever realized ♥️

Thank you doesn't quite portray how grateful I am I have you Melissa, as a friend. I wish I could attend and be there to support you all. I'll forever hold Daniel in my thoughts and heart.

Daniel always kept up photos of Melissa and Jonathan. Never far from his thoughts, always.

You’re survived by Melissa, a formidable woman that I am now proud to call my friend, a woman who has opened her heart and shown nothing but respect and love towards me. Without her support over these past few days, I would have been extremely lost. Being able to talk and grieve with her has brought me immense peace. For her, I’m eternally grateful. Melissa was never just Daniels ex-wife and mother to your son, she knew you in a way not many people got to see.
Jonathan, your son. A beacon of light and unconditional love in your life. How proud you were of his achievements in the face of adversary. He is an extremely beautiful, thoughtful and caring boy. He is a testament to Melissa and you couldn’t have chosen a better woman to be his Mother. Under her care, he’ll hear the truth about you. He'll know that even though your relationship was never fully realized, that you loved him.
Dan. Dad. Pop. Though your relationship was strained at times, he never fully gave up on you. He may have threatened it a few times but didn't turn his back, didn't watch you suffer, sent money and letters. He gave you a home to live in and wanted nothing but happiness and peace for you.

Wow is all I can say. I believe he would really be unhappy with some of this because clearly someone did not know him as they think.

I wish you would not tell lies. He hated her and he wished he never married her. His exact words was he never loved her in a affectionate way but as a best friend. He married her because he figured better to marry your best friend then someone you end up hating but he ended up hating her anyways. Said they would have been better off not getting married because that was when it all changed and he referred it. So don't sit here and falsify the facts because I have everything. Every letter and every mean horrible message and text and so on. She bashed him and talked down to him just days before he passed. And she used his so to crush him or try to manipulate his choices to suit her appearance. I have had it with the slanderous bicker.
