Obituary for Helen Chapman Smith
Helen Chapman Smith, age 88, of Brevard, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Noah and Beulah Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Smith, five brothers, Harrison, Robert, Paul, Charles and Tommy Chapman, two sisters, Ruby White and Sue Mitchell.
Mrs. Smith enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Wayne Smith and wife Diane of Commerce, GA and Garry Lynn Smith of Brevard, one brother, Howard Chapman and wife Sandra of Jacksboro, TN, two sisters, Mae Tuscher of Lafayette, TN and Jean Hicks of Clinton, TN, grandchildren, Robby Smith, Michael Smith, Tonya Brown and Marty Smith and 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingsbridge House, 10 Sugarloaf Rd, Brevard, NC 28712.
A private family graveside will be held.
