Henry Samuel “Judd” Lance
Brevard – Henry Samuel “Judd” Lance, 75, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Ina Chapman Lance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Howard, Ernest “Red” and Ralph Lance.
Judd was a member of Cathey’s Creek Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He adored his large family and especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Elwyn Galloway Lance, son; Todd Lance and wife Kristy of Little River, brothers; Jack Lance of Brevard, Jody Lance of Mills River and Earl Bill Lance of Brevard, sisters; Lois Mullenax and Linda Bradley of Brevard, grandchildren; Kaylan and Ben Lance and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12noon on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Cathey’s Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Chester Chappell and Malcolm Lance officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
