Obituary for Jimmy George Miller Jr.

Jimmy George Miller Jr, 57, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2016. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of Mary Chandler Childress of Asheville and the late Jimmy George Miller Sr.

Jimmy was born in Asheville, North Carolina on December 16, 1958. He graduated from Rosman High School in 1977. He served in the United States Air Force for ten years. He was well known for owning and operating Miller's Auto Parts.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his son Nathan Miller and wife Rachel Miller; daughter Ashley Miller and Billy Gehring; sister, Melinda Gaddy and husband Eric Gaddy; sister Janelle Moore and husband Ricky Moore; brother, Michael Miller and wife Donna Miller; brother Terry Miller and wife Angel Miller; sister Christy Shipman; brother Jay Miller and wife Becky Miller; 6 grandchildren, Brenton, Trinity, Kaiden, Chandler, Landon and KyLee.

Jimmy was an avid lover of muscle cars, car restoration and racing which he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren. He was notorious for his quick whit and comedic personality. He was also involved in every shenanigan he could instigate, front and center.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard for Veterans of Transylvania County.
