Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lawrence Owen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

from Hilda

There are many things about Lawrence, He loved his children. I have a sister a little older than Ruthie, and on the week-end they liked to come and stay during the cold weather, there was a creek in front of our house. Lawrence and some teenage boys would dam up the creek for the kids to play in. But when the creek would start to leak Lawrence would fix it. As they got older we would take the car loaded with the kids and go up on the mountains and go ghost hunting, they loved it and we got the biggest kick out of scaring them. Lawrence loved his Motorcycle, we would ride with friends. We had a wonderful times, we also used to love to go camping an he loved to go fishing. He is no longer suffering He is rejoicing in heaven He is waiting on us to join him and the rest of our loved ones. Hilda Smathers
