Roy Hendrix  Wright
Brevard – Roy H. Wright, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

He was the son of the late Thomas and Ruby Cothern Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Bryson Wright and a sister, Colleen Fish.

Mr. Wright proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp. He lived in Transylvania County since the age of 20. He enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. He also enjoyed going to work out at the Deerwood Fitness Center with Jesse, Bill and other friends. Roy dearly loved his family.

Surviving are his loving companion of 16 years, Maxine Perkins of Robinsville, NC; son, Terry Wright and wife Lisa of Brevard; daughters, Sharon Pearson and husband Tate of Asheville and Lisa McCall and husband John of Easley, SC; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held 1pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with military honors provided by the Transylvania County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home from 11am until 12:30pm before the graveside service.
