Obituary for Thomas Gary "Teeto" Henninger

Thomas Gary "Teeto" Henninger
Thomas Gary Henninger, 16, of Versailles, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
He was born in Lexington, KY to Eric Russell Henninger and Lori Jean Hibbard Henninger of Versailles, KY. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Abigail, Allison, and Sharon Henninger; niece, Lyla Kirkland; his paternal grandparents, Tom and Kay Whitmire Henninger of Brevard; uncle, aunt and cousins, Gregg, Kristen, Chay and Novella Henninger of Brevard; adopted grandparents, Tom and Barbara Jefferds of Lake Toxaway; his maternal grandparents, Gary and Debra Hibbard of Minnesota; maternal great-grandmother, Barbara Ruggles of Wisconsin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Thomas was very involved in working with his Dad in wedding videography, always an integral part of the Lexington First Assembly summer musicals and their youth group, he had several parts in different plays at Asbury University, had just performed his illusionist tricks for America’s Got Talent and was waiting to continue on to Los Angeles. He spent time every summer with his paternal grandparents and always attended Living Waters Camp in Balsam Grove. To his family and those who knew him well, he was our “Teeto.” His character was one of infectious laughter, always reaching out to others with his big smile and warm hugs, making you feel welcome and accepted. Our Thomas’ legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all those who knew him so well, and he will be greatly missed.
The Lexington First Assembly 2016 Summer Musical will be performed in his memory, and contributions may be made to Lexington First Assembly, 2780 Clays Mill Road, Lexington, KY 40503 with Henninger 2016 Musical in memo. Contributions may also be made to the Woodford Humane Society, P.O. Box 44, Versailles, KY 40383.
A private family graveside service was held on Saturday, February 13, at Connestee Cemetery and a memorial service was held at Joy Outreach Fellowship on Sunday, February 14, 2016.
