Obituary

Patricia Galloway Hampton, 80, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. Born in Transylvania Count on June 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ida Owen Galloway. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Bill Hampton, and also by her brothers, Bill Galloway, Ivan Galloway, and Clyde Galloway, and her sisters, Christine Wilson, Delphine Donnelly, Phylliss Constantine, Ethel Poole, Brenda Spillman, Brona Dunn, Sue Maness, and Shirley Tinsley.
After graduating from Brevard High School, she began her 35 year career at Olin Corporation/Ecusta. After retirement in 1993, she traveled with Bill to meet with fellow Bossons enthusiasts, and to Ocracoke, where she was an avid seashell collector and enjoyed fishing.
Patricia is survived by sister, Sylvia McCrary and husband, John, of Pisgah Forest; brother-in-law, Gus Constantine, of Brevard; special niece Barbara Brown, of Brevard; special nephew Patrick Dunn, of Hendersonville, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The family will have a private viewing on Tuesday, June 23rd, followed by a graveside service on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, 11am, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory (formerly Pisgah Gardens). A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Elizabeth House, 581 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC, 28731, or Pisgah Forest Baptist Church, 494 Hendersonville Highway, Pisgah Forest, NC, 28768. In either case, please include Patricia’s name with your correspondence.

I am sorry to hear of her passing. Aunt Pat was always so good to me growing up and as I got older. Will miss her smile. My heartfelt condolences to all of the Galloway clan and I am sure I speak for the Hamptons, she will be missed.

So sad to hear this... Patricia was one of my closest friends in high school. Such wonderful memories.. My condolences to all of the family at this very sad time. I can still see that smile and that always twinkle in her eyes.... May God Bless her and the family....
