Condolence: Dear Tony and Marco,
I am Anne Dillard Alley. My parents, Jannette and Avery Dillard, were good friends of your mother and Mama and Papa Torres. I have such precious memories of time with your mother, your grandparents and you during my childhood and youth. I know my first taste of wonderful Cuban cooking was at your mother's house. Our lives were enriched beyond measure by their friendship and love. My husband and I saw your mother several years ago at her church where we had gone to a revivial service. Although it had been years since I had seen her I recognized her immediately. We spent a long time talking and I so enjoyed seeing her again.
I am so sorry to learn of your mother's death last Monday. I only learned of it today as we had been out of town last week. Please know you have my deepest sympathy. I can just imagine the reunion in heaven between her and your grandparents and my parents too. The love and joyful worship of God will be theirs to share forever. I bet Aida and my mother are singing together again in that heavenly choir! Your sweet mother has been a blessing in the lives of so many people. Her joyful spirit was contagious and you could not help but smile when in her company. I hope wonderful memories will help you and your families during this difficult time. Also may the knowledge that her life blessed and enriched so many others especially mine.
