After he retired he stilled worked hard helping with the manna food program at Community Baptist Church. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. He had a fun loving spirit and loved to make people laugh. He became a friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

My family moved into the neighborhood where the Piersons lived when I was about eight years old. I grew up with Judy and Chuck and love the whole family like my own. Paul was a very loving, caring, hard working man who loved and took care of his family. He was so special and will be greatly missed! I love you all and may God bless you all!!

He accepted me into their family the day Irene brought me into their moms house 30 years ago? I can't remember not being a part of the Pierson family. Paul and I would talk every morning before he would give the phone off to Irene even after she passed away if I called he would answer and get my day started on the right track by making me laugh and smile. He always treated me like a sister like a real family member he never hung up before saying I love you. I never questioned if Paul really loved me I could hear it in his voice how he felt towards me. Paul taught me how to appreciate so much. Heaven gained another awesome angel in my eyes! I am grateful for all his love and non judgmental thoughts . I will miss him dearly but thank God for all he showed and taught me.

He did love you Heather, you were a sister to him as well as to me and Irene... This world lost a man who can never be replaced, God really did break the mold when he created Paul, but Heaven gained so very much. He will e missed more than I can say... Love you sis
